About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Financial Compliance Audit Intern. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of financial and compliance audit projects, gaining valuable experience and skills in the field.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting financial and compliance audits of state agencies and programs
  • Interview personnel at audited agencies to gather information and insights
  • Test controls and account balances to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Use analytics to evaluate transaction cycles and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Working towards obtaining a bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 6 semester hours (or equivalent quarter hours) of relevant upper division accounting coursework
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team setting
