The State of Montana is seeking a highly skilled Contract and Financial Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with contract requirements and overseeing the Division's contracting process.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee all Division contracting, including the development of Requests for Proposals and the negotiation of contracts with program staff.
- Monitor contract compliance and seek resolution of non-compliance issues.
- Authorize contract payments and implement sanctions for contract non-compliance.
- Utilize various systems to maintain the Division's contract and ensure compliance with State and Agency procurement rules and regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of government accounting, procurement, and contracting principles.
- Knowledge of state procurement, risk management, and contracting laws and procedures.
- Ability to perform intellectual analysis and evaluations in forming administrative and program management responsibilities.
- Attention to detail, time management, and excellent organizational skills.
- Meet minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field, and two years of job-related experience in finance, auditing, or accounting.
