Position Overview
We are currently in search of a Records Specialist to join our team. This role will be pivotal in managing document and file organization from the initiation of matters through to their conclusion. The position will involve collaboration with Records team members, attorneys, Office Administrators, and legal support staff to ensure all responsibilities are fulfilled efficiently. This role will also require occasional travel for project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize and adapt to various technologies effectively, applying them to new contexts as necessary.
- Maintain matter files through creation, indexing, data entry, and closure procedures.
- Facilitate the onboarding and transfer of client documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting and guiding clients.
- Possess knowledge of RIM databases and proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Foster a collaborative team environment.
- Serve as a backup for team members during their absence.
- Engage in additional projects as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in records management, preferably within a large firm context. Candidates should be able to lift approximately 50 pounds and possess a positive demeanor. A strong attention to detail, high energy, excellent customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and organizational prowess are essential. Familiarity with iRM, iManage, and Microsoft Office Suite is highly desirable.
