Immediate Opening for Rehabilitation Aides

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 30-35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in documenting and modifying therapeutic exercises under the guidance of licensed Physical and Occupational Therapists.
  • Support patient treatment by applying heat therapy, assisting with aquatic therapy, guiding patients on exercise equipment, and monitoring their physical activity levels.
  • Ensure the functionality of treatment equipment by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating repairs as needed.
  • Educate patients on the proper use of equipment and exercise techniques.
  • Prepare patients for therapy sessions by providing a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns to provide reassurance and information.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold operational integrity by safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic work environment by adhering to established protocols and regulations.
  • Manage the inventory of therapy supplies by monitoring stock levels, anticipating needs, and placing orders as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to commute within a reasonable distance from your residence.
  • Understanding of Anatomy and Kinesiology.
  • Familiarity with therapeutic equipment.
  • Awareness of patient behavior and needs.
  • Knowledge of effective strengthening techniques.
  • Understanding of restraint use and behavior management strategies.
  • Capability to complete in-service training successfully.
  • Skill in observing and documenting patient conditions and changes.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor conducive to patient welfare.
  • Proficiency in record-keeping and report writing.
  • Effective communication skills.

Physical Demands

This position requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, and the use of hands for various tasks. The ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds is essential. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
