Construction Procurement Specialist

Aventura Construction Corp., a prominent player in the Commercial & Environmental Construction Services sector, is seeking a Procurement Specialist with a minimum of three years of experience in construction procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of bids
- Process material and equipment requisitions from project managers and field personnel
- Identify and source materials and equipment as outlined in project specifications
- Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Gather pricing from suppliers and make informed purchasing choices
- Prepare and manage Submittals
- Create Purchase Orders utilizing Sage 100 and monitor orders until completion
- Verify receipt of materials and ensure all orders are accurate
- Resolve any issues related to orders
- Communicate any delays and provide excellent follow-up to support construction activities
- Compile closeout documentation for completed projects
- Participate in weekly status meetings and contribute valuable insights regarding project progress
- Collaborate with QA/QC to secure material certifications, product data, safety data sheets, etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in construction procurement and/or construction administration
- The ideal candidate must be highly organized, possess strong communication skills, and work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- A college degree is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe and/or Bluebeam, and accounting software
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
