Automotive Financial Leader

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Automotive Controller to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our financial leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting operations of our business.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
- Manage cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts in accordance with policy.
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve financial performance, and support the attainment of the company's strategic goals.
- Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, etc. when necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the automotive sales industry.
- Proven experience in managing accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and month-end and year-end close processes.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including GAAP.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive approach to work, with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to anticipate issues before they arise.
