Responsibilities

Open Sky provides support to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities referred by the Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Our mission is to create safe and nurturing homes that cater to the personal needs and preferences of each individual.

Every person in an Open Sky residential program is encouraged to actively participate in community life through volunteering, taking classes, engaging in group outings, or joining fitness activities. Our dedicated staff ensures that individuals have the necessary support and skills to lead fulfilling lives in the community.

The Residential Support Specialist aids individuals diagnosed with a Developmental Disability in achieving as much independence as possible while delivering evidence-based treatment and care in a group living setting. They provide guidance, support, and assistance with daily living activities. By implementing procedures that ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals, counselors help them lead healthy, productive, and independent lives. Counselors advocate strongly for the individuals served, believe in the power of community, and recognize the importance of community integration.

Additionally, Residential Support Specialists will:

  • Assist in creating individualized, person-centered treatment plans and play a key role in their daily implementation.
  • Ensure all procedures are followed to maintain the health, safety, and well-being of individuals and the cleanliness of the physical environment.
  • Assist individuals in accessing and/or providing transportation.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately.


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Alternative education/experience may be considered.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
  • Reliability, eagerness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.


Compensation details: 17.75 Hourly Wage
