Job Overview

Under the direct oversight of management, the Security Guard I plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall safety and security of the facilities and the surrounding grounds of the Company.

The security personnel are expected to meticulously document and report any irregularities or unusual occurrences consistently.


Work Schedule

This position requires availability from Saturday to Tuesday, during the hours of 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM.


Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter vandalism, theft, and unauthorized access.
  • Monitor, report, and effectively communicate all site conditions.
  • Conduct regular patrols and restrict access to unauthorized individuals.
  • Coordinate emergency response efforts as necessary.
  • Document and report any facilities, health, and environmental safety concerns.
  • Engage professionally and courteously with employees and visitors.
  • Assist in the monitoring and securing of hazardous materials utilized in production.
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary credentials to operate as a Proprietary Private Security Officer.

Adhere to the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) along with relevant domestic and international quality regulations, standards, and procedures.

Understand and comply with applicable security, privacy, and compliance principles, ensuring that all departmental members follow the QMS and related regulations.

Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Security Guard, with certification preferred.
  • Maintain all necessary credentials to operate as a Proprietary Private Security Officer.
  • Internal candidates must be in good standing with the Company.
  • Ability to pass a background check with no convictions related to moral turpitude.
  • Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods (at least 50 minutes per hour).
  • Proficient in standard office tools.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of interacting with all employees.
  • Willingness to work the specified days and hours: Saturday through Tuesday from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Working Conditions

Work environments may include general office, laboratory, warehouse, shipping/receiving, and cleanroom settings.

Willingness and ability to work on-site is essential.

Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens.

Some lifting and moving of items up to 50 pounds may be required.

Must be able to navigate between buildings and floors.

Ability to remain stationary and utilize a computer or other standard office equipment for extended periods daily.

Must be capable of reading, preparing emails, and producing documents and spreadsheets.

Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies as needed.

Effective communication and accurate information exchange with employees at all levels are essential.


Compensation

Base Pay Rate: $29.00/hour plus shift differential.

Individual compensation may vary based on qualifications, skill level, competencies, work location, and shift, with potential increases over time based on performance and business needs.
