Position Overview:
The Senior Commercial Banking Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the Commercial Banking division. This position collaborates closely with Commercial Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and various internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the origination and management of loans.

Key responsibilities include ensuring the timely renewal of existing loans, addressing loan exceptions, and contributing to the growth and management of cash management products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage personal and commercial deposit accounts in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Review daily non-sufficient funds reports, secure necessary approvals, and communicate with retail teams as required.
  • Address incoming customer inquiries and requests with professionalism.
  • Process loan payments and advances efficiently.
  • Conduct account maintenance and perform necessary research.
  • Prepare post-closing loan documentation, ensuring file maintenance and exception resolution.
  • Comply with all relevant banking laws and regulations.
  • Organize and file financial statements and documents as necessary.
  • Execute preliminary loan closing tasks, including flood certifications and credit report assessments.
  • Facilitate ticket preparation and wire transfers as needed.
  • Process draws, including title updates and inspections.
  • Administer and monitor construction and development loans as required.
  • Prepare payoff quotes and manage releases.
  • Assist in reviewing loan packages for other team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Organizational Structure:
This role reports to the Commercial Support Group Manager.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; a college degree is preferred. A minimum of five years of experience in commercial or retail banking is essential, along with one to three years of experience in commercial loans.
Knowledge & Skills:
Proficiency in LaserPro is required, along with excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Adaptability to change, superior time management, and problem-solving abilities are crucial. The candidate should be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team, possessing strong analytical skills.

Salary will be determined based on various factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. This position is also eligible for an incentive compensation plan or a discretionary profit-sharing bonus program.
