The primary responsibility of the Electromechanical Service Specialist is to maintain, repair, and refurbish Duro Dyne machinery, ensuring our clients have reliable equipment for their production needs, which in turn encourages continued patronage of Duro Dyne products. Additionally, we support HVAC contractors in diagnosing, wiring, and fixing Duro Dyne zoning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Respond to calls to assist workshops in troubleshooting and repairing Duro Dyne machinery.
  2. Provide support to HVAC technicians in diagnosing, wiring, and fixing Duro Zone products.
  3. Repair and refurbish Duro Dyne machinery received from customers or sales representatives.
  4. Conduct on-site service visits to diagnose and repair Duro Dyne machinery at customer locations.
  5. Assemble components, sub-assemblies, and machinery for our Rebuild Program.
  6. Participate in STAR trips with Duro Dyne Sales Representatives (travel throughout the U.S. is required).
  7. Manage inventory in our Tech Service parts room, including monthly inspections, parts requisitions, assembly, and restocking of machinery replacement parts.
  8. Prepare and package machinery replacement parts for customer orders and arrange for shipping.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Office 365.
  • Ability to utilize basic hand tools, multimeters, and vernier calipers.
  • Capable of working collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of electronics.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and machinery blueprints.
  • Comfortable working with hands and using hand and power tools.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently.
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and understanding of customer needs, with the ability to think quickly to resolve issues.
  • A valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the U.S. are essential.

Education:

  • Technical/Vocational Training.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical work.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
