Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Director to join our team at St Andrews Country Club. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all community buildings and amenities, as well as managing capital and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee and act as owner's representative on all capital building/property projects, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Communication: Attend project-specific meetings, take accurate notes, and follow up on action items to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Collaboration: Attend weekly Department Head meetings, Operations meetings, and Security & Property Committee meetings to stay informed and aligned with departmental goals.
  • Financial Management: Prepare monthly financial analysis of departmental P/L facilities, ensuring accurate reporting and budgeting.
  • Long-term Planning: Work closely with accounting and department heads to identify asset replacement needs, obsolescence, and aspirational capital projects.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Direct workers engaged in all aspects of facilities maintenance, including painting, masonry, electrical repairs, lighting systems, heating and ventilation, fire extinguishers, air conditioning, and plumbing.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of supplies and parts for new or ongoing repairs to facilities.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Acquire and adhere to local and federal requirements and licensing to maintain building safety and standards.
  • Record Keeping: Keep records of all regulations, inspections of facilities, and maintains all work agreements, contracts, and vendor agreements related to ongoing equipment and facilities operations.
  • Supply Chain Management: Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Quality Control: Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards related to new construction and renovated facilities.
  • Workforce Management: Assign jobs to maintenance staff through work orders and track progress and completion.
  • Scheduling: Produce production schedules and coordinate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
  • Property Inspections: Perform weekly property inspections and keep detailed ongoing records of inspections and follow-up.
  • Employee Development: Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations, suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew, analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Employee Relations: Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals, maintain time and production records, and confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Employee Evaluation: Keep records of all initiated, pending, or completed work records and communicate level of completion to department managers, responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training new employees, responsible for employee evaluations and disciplinary actions when warranted, conducts and tracks employee safety awareness training.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D., Associate's Degree from an accredited two-year College or technical school specializing in A/C Systems/Refrigeration or related field.
  • Experience: State certification as a licensed General Contractor preferred, must have in-depth knowledge and/or experience in heating ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, sewer, carpentry, building codes, and construction.
