About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our sustainable infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support project execution by ensuring projects are completed accurately, on-time, and within scope of the contract.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with state, local, and federal legal requirements and maintain the highest level of ethics.
  • Adhere to and ensure Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards.
  • Follow consistent and repeatable project management procedures and processes.
  • Maintain an effective balance between customer satisfaction and project financial results.
How You Will Make a Difference

As a Site Superintendent, you will act in a support role for project executives, construction managers, project managers, and delivery teams on assigned projects. You will be responsible for statuses project schedules and progress to plan for assigned projects, assist in surveys, audits, field measurements, development of estimates and quotations under the direction of supervisors, and inspect work on job sites to ensure safety, quality, counts, and work is being performed per the contractual scope of work.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent work-related experience and a minimum of 4 years of installation and crew leadership experience in the building construction industry.
  • Experience with lighting, HVAC controls, electrical systems, solar systems, BAS management, fire management, and security management systems is desired.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong personal computer working capabilities in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment.
  • Able to travel based on assigned projects, as projects may exist outside of assigned geography.
