In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Stock, display, and rotate all beverage sections and showcases in your assigned locations.

This position will service Florence, SC, and nearby regions.

Schedule: 5 consecutive days a week, including weekends; shift: 5 AM until route completion.

Potential interviews will be conducted at our designated branch.

The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the POD Model within the One Tier Sales Strategy in a flexible, 24/7 operation. This role is essential due to the operational shifts at Dollar General and some independent grocery stores transitioning from Small Store to Large Store channels. The Bulk Account Merchandiser Specialist will provide vacation coverage for the Bulk Account Merchandiser and Merchandiser, serve as the primary contact for late PM/early AM weekends to ensure proper route coverage, and act as a liaison among the customer, merchandiser, and driver for order refusals and inventory management. The BAM Specialist may also execute weekend operational plans with minimal influence on strategic changes and will keep the DSM informed as necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on display and shelves according to established procedures and special programs. Provide vacation coverage for the Bulk Account Merchandiser and POD Merchandiser.
  • Manage, sell, and execute tasks for an assigned group of customers on daily, pre-scheduled routes, generating sales orders based on the assigned delivery frequency to ensure operational success and contribute to the company's financial performance.
  • Implement applicable promotions and new products based on target lists, monthly Look of Success (LOS) initiatives, marketing promotions, Point-Of-Sale, and commercial plans to ensure excellence in RED (Right Execution Daily) scores for assigned customers.
  • Organize and maintain backroom areas by stacking and arranging products by package and flavor, and managing the return of empty pallets and damaged products.
  • Create and distribute point-of-sale materials on displays and shelves where permitted. Rotate products and fill Fastlane merchandisers; check vendor operations for compliance.
  • Develop business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-ups on requests, proactive pricing, special programs, and discussions on new opportunities.
  • Identify and communicate any competitive issues or market activities that could impact the business (pricing, new packaging, changes in strategy) and execute all job duties safely.
  • Serve as the primary contact for late PM/early AM weekends to ensure proper route coverage and act as a liaison among the customer, merchandiser, and driver for order refusals and inventory overload.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge gained through 0-1 years of work experience
