Job Overview

Position Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing financial management and analysis for investment and derivative portfolios within a Home Health environment. Key responsibilities include the preparation of financial statements, journal entries, and the reconciliation of ledger accounts to ensure accurate recording of assets, liabilities, and financial transactions.


Core Responsibilities
The primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Executing fundamental accounting tasks, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger management, tax obligations, and inventory oversight.
  • Generating financial reports, including monthly and quarterly statements, along with weekly forecasts for the management team that summarize the current and anticipated financial status.
  • Conducting month-end closing processes, which encompass balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Reviewing and reconciling general ledger accounts while preparing monthly reports for management review.
  • Supporting the Chief Financial Officer during annual financial audits by acting as the liaison with external auditors.
  • Providing financial data to the management team upon request and assisting with various special accounting projects as needed.
  • Performing monthly operational analyses.

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within a Home Health context.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word, along with experience in accounting software and general ledger systems.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
