Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Jackson Hewitt. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for monitoring the finances of our growing company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record all financial transactions, including cash payments, into the correct general ledger and verify their accuracy.
  • Review financial transactions for accuracy and input them into the correct ledger.
  • Paying vendors as they come due and making deposits and recording all cash receipts.
  • Manage the office petty cash fund.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication and math skills.
  • Knowledge of payroll and bookkeeping principles.
  • Understand how to balance large bank accounts.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • CPA is a plus.
  • Previous bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
