Key Responsibilities:

As a Certified Surgical Tech - First Assistant, you will:
  • Ensure optimal exposure and visibility of the surgical area.
  • Perform clamping, tying, suturing, or coagulating as instructed during surgical procedures.
  • Utilize your knowledge of surgical techniques, anatomy, and physiology effectively.
  • Maintain professional accountability for patient care and assess the effectiveness of care provided by the surgical team.
  • Collaborate with various departments to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Uphold patient rights and confidentiality of medical information.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Licensure: Experience in Surgical Technology or a degree from an accredited program is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years in an Operating Room setting.
  • Certifications: Must obtain Certified Surgical First Assistant certification within 90 days of hire or transfer.
  • Preferred Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred.
