Job Summary

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Property Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our properties, ensuring they are well-maintained and profitable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Leasing: Utilize your sales expertise to lease properties and maximize revenue.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Oversee the processing of maintenance requests and work orders to ensure timely and efficient resolution.
  • Financial Management: Handle applications, fees, background/credit reports, and collect rent in a timely manner.
  • Lease Administration: Set rental rates, negotiate and enforce lease agreements, and address tenant complaints.
  • Contracting and Supervision: Contract and supervise repairs and maintenance work to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, signed leases, complaints, maintenance, and other relevant data.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on the financial performance of properties.
  • Termination and Eviction: Terminate leases and initiate eviction proceedings as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in real estate, property management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a property manager or in a similar role is required.
  • Skills: Strong Microsoft Excel skills, working knowledge of property regulations, and understanding of marketing and accounting principles are essential.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently are required.
