Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Events Manager to join our team at Bank of Marin. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of marketing and event planning principles, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and event strategies to promote the Bank's brand and products.
  • Plan and coordinate internal and external events, including conferences, seminars, and product launches.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, and on-site coordination.
  • Collaborate with creative agencies and vendors to develop and produce marketing collateral, including invitations, signs, menus, and programs.
  • Oversee the Bank's social media presence, including calendar development, content creation, scheduling, and engagement with followers.
  • Monitor the Bank's general mailboxes and social media channels to respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Manage the inventory and distribution of promotional items for events and other marketing activities.
  • Source new promotional items and ensure alignment with the Bank's brand and marketing strategy.
  • Work with external creative agencies to develop and produce creative assets, including collateral, promotional items, and digital content.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of bank regulations and ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of related experience in marketing and event planning, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proven experience in event management, with the ability to oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including vendor management.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to find win-win solutions for everyone involved.
  • Professional image, with the ability to represent Bank of Marin in a positive way.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with individuals of varying levels of seniority and diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to time manage a multitude of priorities, requests, and relationships in a positive manner.
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset, with the ability to quickly pivot and adjust to meet evolving business needs and event objectives.
  • Subject-matter-expert knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign software and some knowledge of database management, project management, and event management software a plus.
