About the Role

CJ America, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in developing, implementing, and managing safety programs and policies across our affiliates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and execute comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for our employees and affiliates.
  • Conduct Workplace Safety Audits: Conduct onsite workplace safety audits, assessments, and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards, and determine corrective or preventive measures to minimize workplace safety incidents and accidents.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards, and monitor OSHA-related reporting, record keeping, and posting requirements status.
  • Investigate and Analyze Safety Incidents: Investigate and analyze safety incidents to determine the root causes and recommend solutions for preventing recurrences.
  • Provide Expert Guidance: Provide expert guidance and support to affiliates on safety and health-related issues, and establish and execute emergency action plans (EAP) and conduct assessments for affiliates.
  • Develop Safety Training Programs: Develop safety training and education programs for employees and affiliates at all levels, and conduct safety seminars (or webinars) on applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Research and stay updated on up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislations, industry standards, and best practices in safety management.
Requirements
  • Education: A bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience in the field of OSHA compliance is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, safety management system (SMS), and safety learning management system (LMS) system is required.
What We Offer

CJ America, Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $110K to $120K for this position, depending on experience and qualifications.
