Position Overview - Aviation Maintenance Quality Inspector

Job Summary:

The Aviation Maintenance Quality Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that all inspection standards, methods, and procedures are upheld at the Milwaukee Service Center. This position is vital for compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft and components, ensuring that all work meets Textron Aviation's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  2. Maintain an up-to-date repository of FAA specifications, certificate data sheets, and airworthiness directives.
  3. Perform regular checks on all tools and equipment, ensuring calibration of precision testing instruments as per the Overhaul Manuals and FAA Repair Station Manuals.
  4. Inspect and accept incoming materials, including new and repaired parts, in accordance with quality and repair station manuals.
  5. Ensure proper tagging and identification of all components throughout the maintenance process.
  6. Review inspection records and documentation for adherence to quality standards.
  7. Utilize Textron and vendor maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and other approved technical publications effectively.
  8. Familiarize with Required Inspection Item (RII) requirements and understand the Master Equipment List (MEL).
  9. Conduct periodic aircraft walkaround surveys to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  10. Organize and maintain files of completed work orders and inspection forms for efficient review.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid A&P License. Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of diverse A&P mechanic experience, particularly with jet and turboprop aircraft.

Additional Information:
