Position Summary:
The Aviation Maintenance Quality Inspector is responsible for upholding the highest standards of inspection practices, ensuring compliance with all relevant Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft and components, verifying that all work adheres to Cessna's quality benchmarks and applicable federal regulations for airworthiness.
2. Maintain up-to-date records of FAA specifications, certificate data sheets, and airworthiness directives.
3. Perform regular assessments of tooling and calibration of precision test equipment as outlined in the maintenance manuals.
4. Inspect and accept incoming materials, including new parts and repaired components, in accordance with quality standards.
5. Ensure proper tagging and identification of all parts throughout the maintenance process.
6. Review inspection records and documentation for compliance with quality standards.
7. Utilize Cessna and vendor maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and other approved technical publications.
8. Familiarize oneself with Required Inspection Item (RII) requirements and understand the Master Equipment List (MEL) usage.
9. Conduct periodic aircraft walkaround surveys to ensure a safe working environment.
10. Organize and maintain inspection files and completed work orders for easy access and review.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must possess an A&P License.
- A minimum of 3 years of diverse A&P mechanic experience with jet and turboprop aircraft.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge as required.
