Position Summary:
The Senior Associate, Local Tactical Planning plays a pivotal role in managing local media communications for designated brands. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of client business needs and the ability to apply local media insights to meet those objectives. Collaboration with Specialists and Supervisors is essential in formulating and communicating local media strategies. Additionally, this role involves overseeing and prioritizing tasks for Associates.

Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Local Investment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Supervisor in crafting local media planning options and strategic recommendations.
  • Exhibit a solid grasp of local media principles, including media mathematics, audience targeting, and communication objectives (reach and frequency).
  • Demonstrate proficiency in relevant systems and tools such as MRI, MediaTools, and Nielsen.
  • Collect and analyze pertinent research to formulate strategic, consumer-insight-driven local media recommendations.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with Investment teams to ensure the effective delivery of media strategies that align with brand goals and client requirements.
  • Build strong partnerships with associated agencies to streamline communication processes.
  • Show creativity and adaptability in problem-solving scenarios.
  • Prepare position papers and points of view on significant client matters and opportunities.
  • Facilitate media authorizations based on approved plans and project requests for Supervisor endorsement.
  • Accurately input pre-buy objectives into relevant platforms for the Investment team's utilization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Media Planning.
  • Familiarity with MediaTools and MediaOcean is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of competitive systems such as AdViews and Kantar is preferred.
  • Working experience with syndicated research tools like MRI and Nielsen.
  • Professional demeanor with strong collaborative skills.
  • Curiosity and motivation to learn and grow.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to navigate shifting priorities.
