Job Summary

The Assistant Manager I is a key member of the leadership team at Sunglass Hut, responsible for driving the store's success. This role involves overseeing daily functions, including sales, coaching, merchandising, talent acquisition, and retail excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail and leadership, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize company tools to deliver sales plans, develop associates, and achieve company objectives.
  • Identify and address performance gaps, and capitalize on successes using reporting tools and business acumen.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to associates, supporting their growth and development, and creating a motivating work environment.
  • Acquire talent through networking and recruiting, and conduct interviews in partnership with the Store/Multi Store Manager.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships by maximizing company tools.
  • Consistently execute brand standards, and maintain store merchandising standards.
  • Stay current on new products in fashion and performance using company learning tools.
  • Ensure execution of operational policies and procedures.
  • Communicate brand strategy, including promotions, contests, and incentives, to the team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years of experience in retail or leadership.
  • Expertise in every aspect of store operation.
  • Detail-oriented, with critical thinking skills to deliver absolute execution of operational components.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer service and/or retail experience.
  • Previous leadership experience of 1+ years.
