Job Summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our legal team as a Compliance Officer or Compliance Manager. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading senior housing provider and contribute to the development and implementation of our Compliance Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Compliance Program: Ensure adherence to all applicable statutes, regulations, and policies.
  • Manage Compliance Operations: Monitor and report on compliance activities, including periodical reviews, updates, and audits of Standards of Conduct.
  • Oversee Healthcare Compliance: Implement and maintain the Healthcare Compliance Program, including HIPAA, Stark laws, anti-kickback, False Claims Act, and qui tams.
  • Identify and Mitigate Compliance Risks: Develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
  • Respond to Compliance Issues: Handle alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct.
  • Ensure Compliance Reporting: Provide regular reports to Senior Management and the Board on the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
  • Develop and Coordinate Training Programs: Educate personnel on the Compliance Program and pertinent federal and state requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Seven plus years of healthcare compliance/regulatory experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of healthcare compliance programs.
  • Demonstrates ability in compliance, safety, and security, policy implementation, and/or auditing.
  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations.
