Chief Sales Officer at Collaborative Strategies

Collaborative Strategies is conducting a search for a Chief Sales Officer. This pivotal role is designed for a dynamic leader who will spearhead the sales initiatives across various product lines, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth. The Chief Sales Officer will collaborate closely with marketing to drive success for our distribution partners and retail accounts.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in executive leadership, with a proven track record in sales strategy and growth management. A strong understanding of Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and exceptional team leadership capabilities are essential. We seek a strategic thinker with a proactive approach, who is passionate about navigating the complexities of a multi-channel sales environment.

Key Responsibilities:


EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP COLLABORATION – Work alongside the executive team to shape annual business strategies, focusing on sales and marketing initiatives, product innovation, and operational excellence to achieve long-term objectives.


REVENUE GROWTH AND STRATEGIC PLANNING – Lead the sales organization in alignment with strategic goals, overseeing sales forecasting and planning to meet both immediate and future targets. Assess new market opportunities and influence product development and pricing strategies.


RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT – Cultivate strong partnerships with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, while serving as a strategic advisor for key retail and distribution accounts.


MARKETING STRATEGY OVERSIGHT – Guide a team dedicated to developing innovative marketing strategies that encompass B2B and D2C approaches, brand management, and customer engagement.


TEAM DEVELOPMENT AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT – Inspire and mentor sales and marketing teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Evaluate talent and implement effective sales methodologies to enhance performance.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, including prior leadership roles within executive teams.
  • Experience managing diverse sales teams and marketing initiatives, with a focus on international markets.
  • Demonstrated success in managing OEM and national account relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills and business acumen.
  • Proficient in financial management, including P&L oversight and budget development.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office and CRM software; familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
