Position: Coffee Specialist and Morning Service Associate

JOB OVERVIEW:

This role reports directly to the Restaurant/F&B Outlets General Manager and involves providing exceptional service to guests during breakfast hours.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

While prior experience as a Barista or Server is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Familiarity with cash handling is also preferred. A neat and tidy appearance, along with a strong commitment to customer service, is essential.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Basic math skills are required.
  • Good hearing and vision, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Attentiveness to customer needs.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Basic computer skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage inventory for the coffee bar and grab-and-go market, assisting with ordering as necessary.
  • Restock sandwiches, snacks, and beverages in the market.
  • Serve guest orders promptly, including specialty drinks and breakfast items.
  • Operate espresso and coffee machines efficiently.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
  • Perform register closeout procedures, including counting and balancing the cash drawer.
  • Maintain cleanliness of counters, tables, and service areas.
  • Complete daily requisitions for food, beverage, and paper supplies.
  • Ensure a tidy and organized working environment.
  • Participate in all required training programs related to food and beverage service.
  • Adhere to company standards and policies regarding cash handling.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and relay feedback to management.
  • Punctually report for shifts in appropriate attire and obtain necessary approvals before clocking out.
  • Assist in various areas of the restaurant and food service operations as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

APPEARANCE: Adherence to grooming standards as outlined in the associate handbook is required.

LANGUAGE ABILITY: Must be able to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence, as well as communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings.

MATH SKILLS: Ability to perform basic calculations, including discounts and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY: Must demonstrate common sense and problem-solving skills in various situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires regular standing and walking, as well as the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 30 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is typically busy and may involve moderate noise levels.
