Job Overview:

An Environmental Services Specialist is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitized environment for patients, families, and staff, thereby promoting healing and exceptional care.

This role involves planning daily tasks with necessary supplies, managing time effectively, prioritizing urgent cleaning needs, and adjusting work pace based on hospital demands.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough cleaning of in-patient rooms post-discharge to ensure compliance with established cleaning standards.
  • Performing daily sanitation of patient rooms, administrative areas, public spaces, and clinical environments.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, leadership, and patients to foster a professional atmosphere.
  • Communicating cleaning needs to clinical and support staff as required.
  • Engaging in continuous physical activity throughout the shift.
  • Executing additional duties as assigned based on hospital and patient requirements.

Experience Requirements:
A minimum of one year in a customer service-oriented role is necessary.

Educational Background:
A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Special Skills:
Demonstrated excellent customer service abilities with a positive, helpful demeanor. Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Strong communication skills in a professional context. Capacity to meet cleaning expectations in a dynamic work environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing daily requirements based on hospital needs. Proven initiative in critical thinking and problem-solving.

Proficiency in using technology, including computers and other devices, to fulfill essential job functions.
