Qualifications - Are you a suitable candidate:


A Bachelor's Degree (BA) in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering is required, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in an aerospace manufacturing setting, including three years in a supervisory or leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Familiarity with New Product Introduction processes and an ERP system, particularly Epicor, is advantageous.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. The ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from various stakeholders is crucial.
Capability to identify problems, gather data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is necessary.

Proficiency in interpreting a wide range of technical instructions in both mathematical and diagrammatic forms, as well as handling multiple abstract and concrete variables, is required.

Competence in reading and interpreting aerospace blueprints, drawings, and specifications is expected.

Strong computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and familiarity with CAD/CAM manufacturing, are preferred.

Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and decision-making abilities are essential.
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
Compliance with safety equipment requirements is mandatory.

Job Responsibilities - What will you do:

Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Engineering/Programming Department.
Manage the tooling department

Execute managerial responsibilities in line with company policies, including interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.

Act as a liaison with key customers to ensure continuous service support. Conduct periodic visits to customer facilities to review requirements and performance.

Understand the fundamental principles and functions of an ERP/MRP system, including the use of parts lists and related drawings to create Bill of Materials (BOM) and input this information into the company MRP system.

Utilize parts lists, related drawings, and specifications to develop manufacturing routings and tooling work orders in the MRP system, ensuring efficient manufacturing methods are employed to produce quality products that meet customer specifications;

Collaborate with management, production control, quality, and shop personnel regarding manufacturing capabilities, improvements, production schedules, and quoting to facilitate production processes;
Engage with customers to clarify product specifications and requirements.
Estimate production times, staffing needs, and related costs to inform management decisions and customer quotes.
Review changes in customer purchase orders, drawings, and specifications for incorporation and cost impact.
Develop, assess, and enhance manufacturing methods.
Assist in establishing and monitoring variance reports, identifying sources of variances, and implementing necessary corrections.
Meet established productivity and quality standards. Consult with supervisors when issues arise that affect expected performance levels.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9002/AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
Contribute positively to the work environment.
Perform any tasks necessary to support customer requirements and company objectives.
