Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ice Rink Director to oversee the operations of our ice rink facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the ice rink department, including scheduling, ice usage, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the ice rink schedule, including booking and coordinating ice usage for various user groups
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of ice rink equipment, including scheduling and coordinating with the Director of Operations and Chief Engineer
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote ice rink programs and services
  • Provide excellent customer service to ice rink users, including responding to complaints and resolving issues
  • Manage a team of ice rink staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating their performance
  • Develop and manage the ice rink department's budget, including forecasting and reporting
  • Coordinate with other departments, including marketing and sales, to promote ice rink programs and services
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in sports management, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in an ice rink facility or other multi-purpose/multi-sport facility
  • Advanced knowledge of skating and hockey, including USA Hockey and US Figure Skating rules and procedures
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, customers, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
