Overview of the General Manager Position

In this role, you will recruit exceptional talent and nurture associates for future advancement. You will lead efforts to meet or surpass budgeted sales, payroll, and controllable expense targets. Your responsibilities will include managing store operations effectively, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and upholding visual merchandising standards. You will guarantee that all customers, both internal and external, receive outstanding service and enjoy a positive experience with our brand.

Key Responsibilities

· Achieve or exceed sales and contest objectives while managing payroll effectively based on current trends.

· Strategically prioritize, plan, and modify schedules and daily tasks to meet business objectives; hold the team accountable for achieving these goals.

· Train and inspire all associates through continuous programs focused on sales, customer service, and product knowledge.

· Evaluate performance and provide ongoing constructive feedback.

· Conduct and deliver performance evaluations and development plans.

· Ensure the team delivers an exceptional customer experience in-store to meet world-class service standards.

· Maintain a visible presence through effective floor management and ensure adequate staff coverage throughout the store.

· Foster an environment where all associates are treated with fairness, dignity, and respect, in line with our "People First" philosophy.

· Collaborate with District Managers and peers to develop and implement best practices in store management.

Qualifications

· Demonstrated ability to lead teams to exceed sales targets while managing payroll effectively.

· Proven track record in identifying top talent, building teams, and training/developing/retaining exceptional individuals.

· Ability to navigate complex issues and manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities effectively.

· Strong capability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

· Minimum of 4 years of management experience in specialty retail or multi-unit retail environments.

Physical Requirements

· Must be able to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.

· Must be capable of lifting and moving medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.

· Employment in this role is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

· Full-time associates are expected to have flexible availability to meet business needs.

This position provides a competitive compensation package, including salary and benefits. Compensation is determined by various factors, including education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location. The anticipated salary range for this role is between $65,000 and $88,000 annually.
