About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Cashier to join our team at Williams-Sonoma during the holiday season. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately and efficiently, and maintaining a positive and engaging store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalized service to customers, ensuring a positive and lasting impression
  • Accurately and efficiently process transactions, sales, returns, and exchanges
  • Ensure accurate ringing and pricing of merchandise, using price overrides when necessary
  • Manage customer expectations, clearly communicating product information, care, and maintenance
  • Offer additional merchandise suggestions to complement and complete initial selections
  • Ensure customers are aware of all promotions that may impact sales
  • Share information and testimonials about products, in-store events, and workshops
  • Maintain visual standards and supplies of the cash wrap area
  • Maximize resources to get customers what they want and resolve any issues
Requirements
  • Love to close sales and articulate a proven ability to exceed goals
  • Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and think outside the box
  • Passionate about creating lasting relationships with customers
  • Know what questions to ask customers to understand their personal style and needs
  • Succeed in a team environment while working independently and managing your own
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role
  • Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods
  • Ability to operate POS system
  • Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 pounds
