Job Overview

Human Resources Operations Specialist
The Human Resources Operations Team at Dollar Tree plays a crucial role in maintaining and verifying employee records for a large workforce exceeding 200,000 individuals. This team ensures that all modifications related to personal information, job transitions, salary adjustments, hiring, and separations are processed accurately and are subject to thorough audits. The team collaborates with Field and Distribution Center HR management, corporate leadership, and all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits, update, and process personnel record transactions with precision and efficiency.
  • Assist with various tasks, including managing I9 compliance processes, conducting audits for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and preparing Employment Separation Letters.
  • Evaluate and fulfill requests for Employment and Income Verifications for vendor processing or team completion.
  • Compile detailed personnel files for Legal and Risk departments, subpoenas, and requests from third parties and associates.
  • Provide support to Field leadership and HR Managers by correcting entry errors, offering training materials, and troubleshooting compliance issues.
  • Assist corporate departments such as Benefits, Unemployment, Associate Relations, Onboarding, Operations, and Payroll by delivering accurate data and reporting for problem resolution.
  • Consistently meet deadlines for audits and tasks.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality standards.
  • Manage multiple email accounts and a service ticketing system, handling hundreds of requests weekly.
  • Verify employee Social Security Numbers using the SSA website and assess eligibility for corporate programs.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a high-volume retail or corporate setting.
  • Proficient data entry skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize various tasks and projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage confidential information with discretion.
