Job Summary

The Business Account Executive is a key role in driving sales growth and revenue expansion for Wave. As a Business Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling primary and ancillary communications solutions to small and medium-sized businesses within a specified territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a territory plan to expand the customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Generate sales leads through various prospecting tactics and work every lead from initial contact to sale.
  • Place orders through order management software and ensure accurate and timely submission of sales orders, contracts, billing forms, and sales reports.
  • Hand off customer service and non-sales related client inquiries to the Customer Service department and focus on selling.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities, including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
  • Meet and exceed performance standards as defined by the department Standards of Performance (SOP) and the Spectrum Way Sales Model.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on telephone and Internet fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outside sales experience in a high-transaction, short-closing cycle model.
  • Business-to-business sales experience.
  • Proven sales history of meeting or exceeding targets.
Working Conditions

The Business Account Executive will work in an office environment and/or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. Exposure to moderate noise levels is also expected.

A qualified applicant's criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances.

The base pay for this position generally ranges from $47,800.00 to $94,900.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

This position has a commission earnings target starting at $54,000.
