Human Resources Leave Administrator

PROMESA R.H.C.F. is seeking an experienced HR Leave Coordinator to administer its Leave of Absence (LOA) program. As a key member of the Human Resources team, you will ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local laws.
Salary: $42,000 per year
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HR functions, benefit administration, and compensation. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end leave processes, determining leave eligibility, and processing leave applications and forms. You will also serve as a subject matter expert and first point of contact for employees on leaves, providing guidance on company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage leave of absence process from application to return to work
- Determine leave eligibility based on company policies and federal, state, and local laws
- Process leave applications and forms, establish claims, and ensure completion with third-party vendors
- Ensure timely submission of Worker's Compensation, Disability, and Paid Family Leave forms to insurance carriers
- Provide communication to employees on leave status, updates, and return to work dates
- Submit bi-weekly updates to management on leave of absence status
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
- 3+ years of experience in HR, preferably in benefit administration and compensation
- Strong understanding of company policies, federal, state, and local laws, and regulations
- Ability to use business acumen to exercise good judgment and decision-making
- Strict adherence to HIPAA Privacy Rules
