We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Customer Service Representative to join our team at PeopleShare. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients and families, navigating through medical bills, insurance benefits, and financial resources available.
Key Responsibilities:- Contract patients to complete Medicaid applications and charity care process
- Verify patient health insurance information
- Work with patients and/or family members, employers, banks, and federal/state offices for additional information as needed
- Accurately document information into various systems
- Perform duties such as faxing, filing, emailing, and making phone calls to facilitate completion of applications
- Provide coverage at hospital facility on an as needed basis
- Assist patients in applying for medical assistance programs
- Counsel patients in navigating through medical bills, insurance benefits, and financial resources available
- Work with patients, physicians, nursing staff, pharmaceutical, and insurance companies
- Travel to other client facilities as needed
- Must have Covid Vaccine
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Detail oriented, strong problem-solving, and research skills
- Must be able to do 6-8 weeks of organized training in Allentown office (PeopleShare will pay for mileage and it will be paid training)
- Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and car insurance
- Experience working in healthcare facility, insurance billing, Medicaid eligibility, or social work preferred
- Comfortability working in a hospital environment
We offer a competitive pay rate of $17.00 per hour and a schedule of Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
