Customer Service Representative

GFL Environmental is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to promote our solid waste services to businesses and industrial establishments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, resolving customer inquiries, and ensuring seamless communication with our sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Communicate effectively with on-the-road employees to provide instructions and assistance.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and document customer complaints, and collaborate with sales to resolve issues.
- Track customer information and concerns, and update our database accordingly.
- Process customer refunds and submit them for approval.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
- Work closely with supervisors to ensure missed stops and special pickups are completed daily.
- Provide timely and accurate information regarding customer concerns.
- Generate call-in work orders for drivers.
- Process customer payments via phone and internet.
- Enter new subscription residential accounts into our system.
- Run credit checks on new customers.
- Complete verification forms, service agreements, and pricing matrices for commercial accounts.
- Scan contracts into our system and maintain records.
- Assist in completing the Affirmative Action log for applicants.
- Maintain a positive attitude and promote the GFL Environmental image through excellent communication and teamwork.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of customer service experience in a call center environment.
- Ability to implement solutions to general and specific customer concerns.
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Excellent data entry skills.
