- Determines appropriate staffing levels for all positions within the Slot Department and oversees personnel scheduling.
- Balances customer service excellence with profitability by adhering to established labor standards.
- Ensures each team member comprehends and is accountable for their performance metrics.
- Contributes to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff.
- Ensures compliance with departmental, company, and contractual policies, as well as adherence to Delaware Lottery Rules and other applicable regulations.
- Assists in developing the Slot Department's business strategy, operational budget, and capital expenditure plan.
- Creates training programs for the department, focusing on customer service and leadership skills.
- Maintains strict physical controls over all monetary transactions, forms, and records related to Slot Operations.
- Monitors activities that may impact departmental efficiency, including Internal Controls.
- Responsible for the accuracy of daily time records, jackpot payouts, and shift summaries.
- Possesses a thorough understanding of slot floor system reports, game data, and player tracking systems to address guest and employee inquiries.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- A minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience and three (3) years in gaming operations is required.
- Must successfully complete and maintain a background check and licensing as mandated by the Delaware Lottery.
- Knowledgeable in promoting marketing initiatives and effectively communicating necessary information to floor staff.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, customer relations, and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to lift up to forty (40) lbs. and push or pull up to fifty (50) lbs. without difficulty.
- Familiarity with casino regulations, policies, and procedures is required.
- Must be flexible with scheduling, including availability on weekends and holidays as needed.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills are mandatory.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while effectively interacting with guests, colleagues, and management.
