Job Overview

St. Joseph Grade School is in search of a dedicated Facilities Operations Director to oversee our expansive campus, which includes multiple buildings and athletic facilities. This full-time position involves the management and supervision of a skilled maintenance team responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of all facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Direct and coordinate the activities of maintenance personnel, ensuring effective custodial services and the upkeep of essential systems such as heating, cooling, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Project Management: Assist in planning and executing construction projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Monitor ongoing projects to guarantee quality and adherence to timelines.
  • Technical Oversight: Supervise troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems, ensuring comfort and efficiency within the buildings. Respond to emergencies and oversee the assignment of maintenance staff.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Approve purchase requests and coordinate procurement processes.
  • Training and Development: Mentor and train new maintenance staff, promoting safety and skill development within the team.
  • Vendor Coordination: Oversee the work of contractors and service providers, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Seasonal Responsibilities: Manage snow removal operations during winter months and respond to security alarms as needed.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A background in facilities management or a related field is preferred.
