Position Overview:

The HR Generalist plays a pivotal role within the Human Resources Team, acting as a strategic partner to facilitate a broad spectrum of HR functions from a collaborative and service-oriented approach. This role is responsible for guiding and supporting various departments on HR policies and practices, encompassing employee relations, compensation strategies, workforce planning, payroll management, leave administration, benefits coordination, and workers' compensation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership to comprehend and influence strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in identifying and analyzing essential performance metrics to inform strategic planning.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and best practices.
  • Coordinate and engage in training and development regarding HR systems and departmental protocols.
  • Provide expert advice and consultation to staff and supervisors on all HR matters.
  • Propose or initiate programs to address issues and improve service delivery.
  • Manage compliance with FMLA and ADA regulations, collaborating with relevant services for documentation as necessary.
  • Oversee medical leave processes to ensure adherence to applicable regulations.
  • Participate in the evaluation of job positions for recruitment, career advancement requests, and salary adjustments.
  • Engage in the formulation and execution of HR procedures within the division.

Essential Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Human Resources, including conducting confidential investigations.
  • Alignment with the values of fostering a welcoming and respectful environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, capable of building robust professional relationships and managing conflicts effectively.
  • Knowledge of current federal and state HR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in employee and/or labor relations.
  • Experience in HR roles within large or complex organizations.
