The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) is tasked with supporting designated teams, functions, and departments in all aspects related to personnel activities. This includes, but is not limited to, recruitment, training and development, culture and engagement, employee relations, performance management, and compensation and benefits, along with other HR-related responsibilities as assigned.

The role acts as an advocate and consultant to management on human resource matters. A successful Senior HRBP champions employee interests and drives change. This position evaluates and anticipates HR-related needs, communicating these proactively within the HR department and to business leadership.

The HRBP builds partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services to management and employees, supporting the achievement of the organization’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Culture Advocate and Employee Experience Champion: Serves as a resource for employee inquiries and concerns.

Aggregates feedback from various sources (employee surveys, performance feedback, and ongoing communication forums) to guide recommendations and actions aimed at continuously enhancing employee satisfaction with our workplace culture.

Trusted Partner in Talent Development: Collaborates with leaders to conduct talent reviews and formulate training plans. Collects, aggregates, and monitors individual and team training and development needs. Identifies and secures training and development programs, courses, mentoring, and on-the-job training opportunities.

Utilizes both internal and external resources to provide a diverse array of traditional and online courses, covering technical and non-technical subjects, compliance-based and elective training opportunities.

Resource for Employee Relations and HR Compliance: Works in tandem with the Site HR Director to offer guidance, coaching, and support to leaders and employees regarding HR programs, policies, procedures, employment laws, and conflict resolution.

Conducts investigations and manages sensitive situations with fairness, balancing the interests of both employees and the organization.

Recruiting and Talent Attraction Partner: Assists managers in workforce planning, job requisition forms, job description development, and interviewing to meet staffing requirements.

Collaborates with HR colleagues and recruiting partners to ensure sufficient recruitment sources to attract top talent.

Support for Rewards and Recognition Strategies: Partners with managers on talent reviews. Aids in the merit, promotion, and salary adjustment processes, ensuring accurate reflection of changes in the HRIS system. Provides guidance on recognition and appreciation programs.

Special Projects Resource: Welcomes opportunities to assist with special projects within the HR team. Proactively volunteers to support leaders and managers as needed.

Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements:

Combination of 7-10 years of relevant education and/or work experience. Experience with professional, scientific, and manufacturing workforces is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of state and federal employment laws is essential. SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
