Position Overview:

The role of a Senior Oracle EBS Developer involves engaging with the Oracle EBS Finance systems and other related financial systems within the organization to ensure alignment with business goals. This position focuses on gathering requirements and validating application solutions pertinent to finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with both business and IT teams to create and document requirements in user story format.
  • Analyze and design technology solutions that meet best practice business needs.
  • Engage with Accounting, Finance, and Procurement teams to comprehend their requirements and challenges, refining existing business processes.
  • Transform process improvement recommendations into actionable system requirements.
  • Participate in requirement gathering sessions, aligning business needs with validated solutions.
  • Develop system documentation, including unit tests and solution designs.
  • Support Quality Assurance efforts through test planning and execution for periodic releases and new implementations.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of internal processes.
  • Promote the adoption of superior engineering practices while staying informed about industry trends and innovations.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to drive initiatives ensuring timely delivery of critical project milestones.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Design, develop, test, and implement features and code on Oracle EBS R12 using APEX.
  • Design and implement Web Services utilizing SOA.
  • Assist end users in understanding application features to achieve their business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Database and Middleware Administrators to optimize application performance.
  • Demonstrate advanced skills while mentoring junior team members.
  • Document code and projects for clarity and understanding.
  • Meet customer requirements as reflected in customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Provide insightful solutions based on application design and data.
  • Adhere to team coding, documentation, and testing standards while recommending process improvements.
  • Recognize and communicate upstream and downstream impacts effectively.
  • Understand the business processes supported by the application to enhance code effectiveness.
  • Continuously improve application and team processes.
  • Minimize incidents and enhance application uptime.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with policies, processes, and legal guidelines.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8-12 years of experience with Oracle EBS, specifically in Procurement, Fixed Assets, AP, General Ledger, and Oracle Projects Billing, costing, and Revenue cycle.
  • Strong functional knowledge of E-Business Suite.
  • Proficient in SQL/PLSQL.
  • Experience with full lifecycle deployment of APEX pages.
  • Familiarity with SOA and Web Services is advantageous.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS R12 Workflow, AME, and XML Publisher Reports is a plus.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills are essential.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in Financial Services.
  • Familiarity with OCI is beneficial.
  • Strong functional knowledge and experience with APEX, SOA, Web Services, Workflow, and AME.
  • Experience working with PL/SQL.

Language Proficiency:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, specifications, and international standards.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
