Position Overview:

As a Senior Software Security Engineer at ServiceNow, you will play a pivotal role in our Cloud Platform team, focusing on the development of Cloud Infrastructure Services and APIs that facilitate the comprehensive management of application and database code lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain Top Secret Clearance.
  • Design, implement, and sustain a robust platform for large-scale Enterprise Applications, encompassing over 10,000 physical hosts.
  • Engage deeply with low-level Security Protocols.
  • Assess and prioritize vulnerability findings.
  • Conduct debugging and testing of vulnerabilities.
  • Resolve complex production challenges, including memory leaks, network issues, and various intermittent failures across the technology stack.
  • Utilize Linux command line effectively for both system administration and shell scripting.
Qualifications:

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A proven ability to quickly grasp new technologies and systems.
  • A track record of successfully completing intricate projects both independently and collaboratively.
  • Expertise in CentOS/RHEL operating systems, with hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and service design.
  • Outstanding debugging, testing, and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
  • The ability to manage interruptions and adapt to shifting priorities within the team.
Preferred Skills:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience with low-level operating system components.
  • Background in a DevOps/SRE environment.
  • Experience as a Security Analyst or Information Security Engineer.
  • Experience in a customer-centric internal environment.
  • A passion for database technologies, with experience in developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, as well as time series database technologies.
  • Familiarity with tools like Puppet, Jenkins, Vagrant, VirtualBox, and RubyMine.
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies, including OpenStack, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly git.
