Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled and driven Senior Heavy Civil Engineer to enhance our team in Boston.

The ideal candidate will possess 3-5 years of expertise in heavy civil engineering, demonstrating a successful history in managing and executing large-scale construction initiatives.

As a Senior Heavy Civil Engineer, your role will involve overseeing and coordinating various facets of our projects, guaranteeing their completion on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Direct and oversee heavy civil engineering projects, encompassing marine construction, bridge engineering, ventilation systems, railroad infrastructure, and sewer/drain/water utilities.


Design and Planning:
Collaborate with project teams to create comprehensive engineering designs and plans. Ensure that designs comply with all regulatory and safety standards.

Site Supervision:
Manage construction activities on-site, coordinating with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and upholding safety protocols.

Quality Assurance:
Assess project progress and quality, conducting inspections to ensure that all work adheres to company and industry benchmarks.

Problem Solving:
Recognize and resolve engineering and construction challenges as they arise, providing effective solutions to ensure project success.

Documentation:
Generate and review engineering documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project advancements.

Coordination:

Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering professionals to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.


Compliance:

Guarantee that all work is conducted in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.


Required Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Heavy Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.


Experience: 3-5 years of experience in heavy civil engineering, ideally with a focus on marine construction, bridge engineering, railroad infrastructure, or utilities.


Technical Skills:
Proficiency in engineering software and tools, including CAD and project management applications.

Knowledge:
Strong grasp of construction methodologies, materials, and safety regulations. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.

Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

Certifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not mandatory.
