Position Overview:

We are in search of a seasoned civil engineer with a background in energy initiatives to join our Engineering & Construction Division. The selected candidate will be instrumental in the planning and implementation of upcoming renewable and energy transition projects. The ideal individual will be a proactive, driven professional, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced setting. Prior experience in energy project development and execution is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support various facets of the development of renewable and dispatchable energy transition projects across the United States, from site assessment and development to permitting assistance, contracting, and financial closure, along with construction support as necessary. This role involves collaboration with both internal and external teams. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Assessing project sites for potential energy installations.
  • Evaluating project layouts based on civil engineering principles.
  • Reviewing and assisting with stormwater management designs and permit submissions.
  • Providing support for geotechnical assessments and foundation design reviews.
  • Conducting technical evaluations related to geotechnical elements of projects.
  • Maintaining effective communication with internal teams and external consultants, including engineering and environmental specialists.
  • Updating management on project status, action items, and budget considerations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of civil engineering experience.
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector is required.
  • Proficiency in stormwater design and familiarity with various NPDES best management practices.
  • Experience in evaluating geotechnical reports and assessing foundation designs.
