Sulzer Pumps (US) Inc. is a leading engineering company with a proud heritage of innovation. We are seeking a skilled Mechanic - Equipment Specialist to join our global team and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.
Main Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare equipment for transfer to and from customers.
- Receive goods into our facility and provide tracking information and freight quotes upon request.
- Inventory and order packaging supplies when needed.
- Source and hire freight companies for local and long distance deliveries.
- Learn to disassemble and inspect all types of pumping equipment.
- Remove, clean, and prepare equipment components for inspection.
- Record measurements of component parts and prepare inspection documentation.
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in good operating condition.
- Provide incoming goods receiving information to facilitate a smooth transition for other coworkers.
- Assist other team members as directed, including training and working under a senior coworker.
- Support and participate in company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System, adhering to safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Operate company-owned vehicles when required.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and UPS & Fed-Ex applications.
- Ability to detect and correct paperwork errors or discrepancies.
- Ability to carry out routine verbal and written instructions.
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 50lbs.
