Company Overview
HIKINEX is a prominent global hedge fund specializing in emerging markets, managing assets worth $3 billion. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Operations Team as a Fund Accounting Manager.

Role Overview
The Fund Accounting Manager will oversee the complete NAV accounting processes for our investment funds. This role involves close collaboration with the Director of Finance to enhance middle and back-office operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the monthly NAV close processes, including the evaluation of the fund administrator's month-end NAV documentation.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of cash, trades, and securities against bank and broker statements.
  • Identify discrepancies and communicate with counterparties such as fund administrators, brokers, and custodians to resolve issues.
  • Support the private investment valuation process and maintain relevant documentation.
  • Manage fund audits and assist with the preparation of fund tax returns.
  • Contribute to treasury functions, including cash management and wire setups.
  • Provide backup support for trade operations as necessary.
  • Assist with various ad-hoc projects and reporting requirements.
  • Support management company accounting tasks, including accounts payable and QuickBooks financials.
  • Continuously seek to enhance processes and controls to reduce workflow inefficiencies.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in public or private accounting, ideally with a mix (Big 4 experience preferred).
  • Experience in the Asset Management sector, particularly within hedge funds.
  • Strong foundation in investment fund and GAAP accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and high ethical standards.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects while adhering to reporting deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and v-lookups.
  • Interest in hedge funds, public/private markets, and investment strategies.
