As a key player in the finance sector, Vaco is looking for a skilled Fund Accounting Manager specializing in Private Equity. This role offers a unique chance to engage in innovative projects within the investment landscape. Key Responsibilities:
- Execute quarterly and annual closing processes for all funds, including the review of NAV packages.
- Manage capital calls, distributions (inclusive of carried interest waterfalls), and information requests.
- Maintain comprehensive accounting and legal documentation.
- Oversee performance reporting, IRR calculations, and incentive computations.
- Collaborate with fund administrators to resolve accounting inquiries and challenges.
- Assist with interim and annual audit processes.
- Administer the internal accounting system.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Conduct private valuations.
- Handle annual and other compliance submissions.
- Facilitate fund/SPV establishment.
- Ensure tax compliance.
- Engage in special projects related to overall firm operations.
Qualifications:

- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen curiosity for understanding complex issues.
- Exhibit energy, enthusiasm, and effective communication skills.

Accounting Expertise:
- Possess an undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting.
- Have 4-7 years of experience in private equity or venture capital.
- CPA certification or a pathway to obtaining it is preferred but not mandatory.
- Functional proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Investran is advantageous but not essential.
Compensation Information:
The compensation for this position is influenced by various factors, including the candidate's skills, experience, training, certifications, and geographic considerations. As mandated by local regulations, Vaco provides a salary range of $120K - $160K per year for this role.
