We seek candidates with extensive experience in political research and a proven track record in managing research processes and teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of researchers tasked with executing detailed research strategies on various candidates;
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership to develop comprehensive research strategies;
  • Provide concise documents to the rapid response and communications teams for public-facing content creation;
  • Assist junior staff in refining and enhancing research outputs;
  • Lead initiatives to generate innovative ideas for public records requests or investigative projects, and analyze the resulting data;
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support the department's objectives.
Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in utilizing common research tools and resources, including public records requests, campaign finance reports, personal financial disclosures, legal documents, policy analysis, advertisement tracking, and LexisNexis;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail;
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of three election cycles of experience in political research, including at least one cycle in a leadership capacity or managing significant research projects;
  • In-depth knowledge of political dynamics and campaign strategies;
  • Extensive experience in training junior staff on LexisNexis, campaign finance databases, and primary source materials;
  • Ability to oversee and monitor long-term projects while effectively delegating tasks to ensure timely completion;
  • Willingness to engage with the fast-paced news cycle;
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a desire to explore innovative research avenues.
