The Senior Policy Strategist will lead a team in developing and executing a company-wide strategy for policymaker engagement.

Clients span across Technology, Financial Services, Trade, Energy, and Healthcare, and they rely on the expertise knowledge of a highly experienced team bringing decades of experience in business, government, communications, research, technology, and media.

The role is responsible for leading efforts to retain past research participants and grow its network of new policymakers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and cultivate relationships with policymakers participating in the company's research
  • Build awareness and trust with policymakers on the Hill
  • Establish partnerships with relevant caucuses, associations, networks, and entities to encourage the growth of the reach across policymakers
  • Play a key leadership role on the External Affairs and Policy Insights teams through managing and partnering with team leaders to develop and achieve strategic objectives
  • Partner with team leaders, providing guidance and support on hiring, professional development, and management of teams

Requirements:

  • 7+ years' experience engaging senior federal policymakers, with deep insight into the needs and interests of federal policymakers
  • A minimum of 3 years of recent experience working on Capitol Hill, at a senior level
  • Relationship-builder: Proven ability to develop relationships with influencers at all levels
  • Truly exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
  • Experience developing persuasive messaging and effective communications
  • Ability to act and react quickly and flexibly in a fast-paced environment, with ability to thrive in ambiguous, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environments
