About the Role

EnTech Engineering, PC is a multidisciplinary engineering and construction management firm dedicated to delivering best-in-class design and construction support services for infrastructure and facility projects that strengthen communities nationwide. Our team of experts is passionate about improving the infrastructure, buildings, and communities that surround us.

We are seeking a full-time Asbestos Surveyor to work on projects in the New York City area. Our projects are generally located at public facilities, including but not limited to, schools, public buildings, bridges, subway stations, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Asbestos Field Investigations: Perform asbestos field investigations/surveys following federal, state, local, and client/agency protocols.
  • Sample Collection: Collect samples and deliver them to a lab for analysis, take photographs, complete chain-of-custody forms, and prepare sample collection drawings (photo logs).
  • Report Preparation: Assist in preparation of comprehensive asbestos survey reports. Exercise sound, independent judgment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and prepare clear and concise technical correspondence. Interpret sampling results and apply relevant laws and regulations.
  • Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members.
  • Travel: Travel throughout the New York Metropolitan Area.
Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of experience performing Asbestos surveys.
  • Current NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector License (obtained a minimum of two years ago).
  • Current NYCDEP Investigator Certificate is required.
  • Ability to read project drawings and specifications.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License and ownership of a vehicle to be used for transportation to the job site.
  • Ability to use power tools, climb ladders, and carry sampling and ancillary equipment.
  • Trained to use PPE, such as masks, respirators, safety harnesses, etc.
  • Be available to work flexible hours.
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends on a regular basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 Hour Construction Safety.
  • OSHA 40 Hours HAZWOPER.
  • NYSDOL Asbestos Supervisor, Project Designer, Project Monitor and Air Sampling Technician.
  • Previous Experience with School Construction Authority Projects.
Compensation

$50,000 - $85,000 per year.
